Your first packet in five minutes
- Add an association: its name, usual meeting place, and number of directors.
- Set up a meeting: pick the type and date, and start from a template or last meeting's agenda.
- Edit the agenda. Drag items to reorder, and open an item to add a note, presenter, or vote.
- Drop PDFs or photos onto agenda items. Each item with documents becomes a colored tab.
- Press "Build packet" and download the PDF. It's also saved to the meeting history.
Which files can I attach?
PDFs and photos (JPG, PNG, and iPhone photos), up to 25 MB each. Photos of paper documents are turned upright and sized to fit a page.
If a PDF needs a password to open, open it, save a copy without the password, and attach that. If a PDF opens but is locked against copying, PacketSkipper adds its pages as images, so it still prints the same.
Can I reuse last month's agenda?
Yes. When you set up a meeting, choose "Last meeting's agenda." Documents aren't copied unless you tick them. To make an agenda the association's standard, open a meeting and choose "Save as template."
How does emailing the board work?
Add the board's names and email addresses on the association page (they're optional and only needed for emailing). Then open the meeting's "Email the board" tab. Each person gets a private download link that works for 60 days and always opens the newest packet. You can attach the PDF too when it's under 10 MB.
The email comes from your name "via PacketSkipper," and replies go to your email address. You'll see who it went to, when, and whether they opened it.
How do I record the meeting?
Open the meeting's "Meeting mode" tab on a tablet or laptop. Tap each director present, remote, or absent, and PacketSkipper shows whether you have a quorum. Record the time you call to order and adjourn, and add notes and motions under each agenda item. It saves as you go, and it keeps a copy on the device if the Wi-Fi drops.
How are the minutes drafted?
From a standard minutes template, using only what you entered in meeting mode. Nothing is written or rewritten for you, and anything you didn't record is left blank. Edit the draft, download it as Word or PDF (marked DRAFT), and mark it approved once the board approves it. Approved minutes are saved to the meeting history.
What about meeting notices?
The "Notices" tab makes an annual members' meeting notice or a budget adoption meeting notice from the meeting details. Every word can be edited, and you can attach the proposed budget.
Notice requirements vary by state and by each association's governing documents. The templates and the "Post notice by" helper are starting points only. You're responsible for confirming timing, delivery, and content.
How much does it cost?
$100 per manager per year, or $10 per manager per month, after a 30-day free trial with no credit card. The account owner pays for every seat on one bill, from the Billing page in the app.
What happens if my trial or subscription ends?
The account becomes read-only. You can still sign in and download packets and minutes for 30 days. We email the owner a week before the data is deleted.
Do board members need an account?
No. Board members never log in. They get an email with a private link to download the packet.
